I’m Amanda, from Toronto, and I’m Decora (“D”), from New York. We first met one unforgettable night at the Faena Hotel in Miami Beach, a fitting start since hotels would become a recurring theme in our love story. Some call it love at first sight; others say it was the universe nudging us together. By the very next day, D had already asked me to lunch, and before I could even say yes, he had moved his flight just to see me again.But then reality hit. With international borders closed, I returned home to Toronto, and life went on…Six months later, when borders finally opened, D reached out and told me to come to New York City. Normally cautious, I thought, “Why not?” bringing my friend Veronica along for backup. What was meant to be a weekend adventure turned into a love story that could span any distance.Fast forward a few years, and our story has only grown. D even opened his very own boutique hotel, The Perch, a nod to how our journey began in a hotel all those years ago.Now, on that same weekend, we are thrilled to tie the knot at Casa Loma in Toronto, surrounded by our closest family and friends.Thank you for being part of our journey.
